Over a career spanning more than 25 years, Sharma has built a practice covering cross-border transactions, capital markets, financial regulatory advisory, structured finance, securitisation, FEMA, and RBI and SEBI regulations, alongside corporate restructuring and insolvency and bankruptcy matters.
He has advised leading investment funds, corporates, and public and private sector banks, as well as foreign financial institutions, on high-value transactions across sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, ports, pharmaceuticals, fintech, and real estate. Sharma has accumulated significant experience in cross-border investments, foreign exchange regulations, and the establishment and regulation of financial sector entities such as Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), NBFCs, and Housing Finance Companies. He has also advised extensively on corporate restructuring and insolvency resolution matters.
