Sayali Joshi has joined Servier India as Legal & Compliance Director, the company has announced. She brings close to 15 years of in-house counsel experience spanning the pharmaceutical, consumer goods, and pet nutrition sectors.
Joshi’s practice covers litigation, drafting, due diligence, intellectual property, and overall legal and secretarial compliance. Her appointment strengthens Servier India‘s in-house legal and compliance function at a time when regulatory scrutiny in the pharmaceutical sector continues to intensify.
Education Background and Career Progression
Education
Sayali Joshi is a 2012 graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai.
Career Journey
Joshi built her career entirely in-house, accumulating close to 15 years of experience across prominent multinational corporations. Her earlier stints included roles at Pfizer and Colgate-Palmolive, where she developed a broad foundation across commercial legal, compliance, and intellectual property functions.
She subsequently moved to Mars Pet Nutrition and Royal Canin India, where she served as Senior Counsel. Prior to joining Servier India, those two roles represented her most recent engagements. Across these positions, she handled the full spectrum of in-house legal work, including litigation management, transactional drafting, due diligence exercises, and secretarial compliance.
Strategic Significance
Joshi‘s cross-sector in-house background — spanning pharmaceuticals, fast-moving consumer goods, and pet nutrition — gives Servier India a Legal & Compliance Director with versatile regulatory and transactional experience. Her familiarity with IP-intensive industries such as pharma and her track record managing litigation and compliance obligations positions her to lead the function at a company operating in a closely regulated market.
