Shwetank Sharma Joins JSA Advocates & Solicitors as Capital Markets Partner in New Delhi

Shwetank Sharma has joined JSA Advocates & Solicitors (JSA) as Partner in its New Delhi office, the firm announced, reinforcing its Capital Markets Practice with a seasoned transactions lawyer. He brings over eight years of experience advising issuers, merchant bankers, and investors across equity and debt capital markets.

Shwetank moves to JSA from S&R Associates, where he served as Counsel in the Capital Markets practice in New Delhi. His appointment underscores JSA‘s continued focus on expanding what it describes as its market-leading Capital Markets Practice.

Education Background and Career Progression

Education

Shwetank Sharma is a graduate of Amity Law School, Noida, where he completed his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) in 2018 with distinction. He is enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi and has authored publications on capital markets and corporate law.

Career Journey

Shwetank began his career at Khaitan & Co. in Bengaluru, before moving to Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. in Mumbai, where he worked as a Senior Associate in its Capital Markets practice. He subsequently joined S&R Associates in New Delhi as Counsel, building a track record on complex equity and debt transactions before making the move to JSA.

Across these roles, Shwetank has advised on a range of high-profile matters, including IPOs of ICICI Prudential AMC, HDB Financial Services, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Tata Technologies, Global Health (Medanta), OYO (proposed), Windlas Biotech, Euro Pratik Sales, and Sambhv Steel Tubes. He has also advised on rights issues, qualified institutional placements, and listed debt issuances for corporates and financial institutions including JSW Energy, Tata Steel, and Suzlon Energy, in addition to select M&A and private equity transactions.
