Rajeev Rambhatla Joins CMS INDUSLAW as Dispute Resolution Partner in Hyderabad

Rajeev Rambhatla has joined CMS INDUSLAW as a Partner in its Dispute Resolution practice, along with his team, based in the firm’s Hyderabad office. He arrives from Luthra and Luthra India Law Offices, where he served as Partner for the past two years.

The move carries particular personal resonance for Rambhatla, who was previously associated with CMS INDUSLAW as an intern earlier in his career. His return marks a significant lateral addition to the firm’s Hyderabad operations.

Education Background and Career Progression

Education

Rajeev Rambhatla is an alumnus of Christ University, Bangalore.

Career Journey

Rambhatla brings more than a decade of experience advising domestic and international clients on commercial disputes, arbitration, insolvency-related proceedings and complex litigation matters. His practice has spanned representation before various High Courts, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and arbitral tribunals. He has also advised clients on dispute strategy, risk management and contentious regulatory matters across sectors including real estate, employment and high-stakes commercial disputes. Prior to his two-year tenure as Partner at Luthra and Luthra India Law Offices, Rambhatla had an earlier association with CMS INDUSLAW as an intern.

What the Firm Said

Founding and Senior Partners Avimukt Dar and Suneeth Katarki issued a joint statement welcoming the appointment:

“Rajeev’s addition strengthens our capabilities in the Hyderabad office, a key market for us. His dispute resolution experience across sectors further enhances our support to clients in the region.”

Rambhatla also commented on the move:

“This is indeed a full-circle moment for me as I was last associated with CMS INDUSLAW as an intern many years ago and I have always wanted to be a part of the firm, its rich history and presence in Hyderabad is indeed an added bonus. My team and I are excited and looking forward to this challenge, onwards and upwards.”

Strategic Significance

Rambhatla’s arrival bolsters CMS INDUSLAW‘s dispute resolution bench in Hyderabad at a time when the city is increasingly significant as a commercial and regulatory hub. His cross-sector expertise spanning arbitration, insolvency, employment and regulatory disputes — combined with established High Court and tribunal practice — deepens the firm’s ability to service clients across the region.
