The transaction gives IndiaRF a controlling interest in the Belagavi-based manufacturer, which produces machined iron castings for industrial engines, farm equipment and automotive applications. IndiaRF is a fund promoted by Piramal Finance Limited and Bain Capital, and invests primarily in control situations with a focus on providing effective capital solutions and driving operational transformation.

Founded in 1974, the company operates four foundries with a combined installed capacity of 144,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) and seven machine shops capable of producing around 600,000 parts annually. The company manufactures engine blocks, engine heads and transmission housings ranging from 20 kg to 5,000 kg, and is one of the few Indian players with the capability to manufacture such engine blocks, serving diversified end-markets including industrial engines, farm equipment and automotive.
