Business Nextgen Finance Private Limited has completed a Business Nextgen Finance Series A fundraise of ₹215 crore, led by Beams Fintech Fund I and its affiliates. Three law firms — Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Khaitan & Co, and Touchstone Partners — advised different parties across the transaction. The deal has received prior approval from the Reserve Bank of India.
Introduction
Business Nextgen Finance Private Limited (BNF) is a new-age Non-Banking Financial Company focused on providing secured credit to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and has successfully raised ₹215 crore in equity capital from a marquee group of institutional and strategic investors. The fundraise was led by Beams Fintech Fund I and its affiliates, with participation from Baring Private Equity India Fund 6, Saison Capital Pte. Ltd., UNLEASH 1st Investment Partnership, and other investors.
As part of the transaction, Beams Fintech Fund and its affiliates will collectively hold more than 26 per cent of BNF’s paid-up equity share capital on a fully diluted basis. Importantly, the transaction does not result in any change in the management or day-to-day control of BNF.
Founded by Pankaj Poddar, BNF received its RBI Certificate of Registration in September 2025 and has since embarked on its mission to build a differentiated, technology-led MSME lending platform focused on underserved and under-penetrated markets.
Deal Value
Beams Fintech Fund, a growth-stage private equity investor focused on the financial services sector, secured a $22.76 million (₹215 crore) equity investment in Business Nextgen Finance Private Limited. The capital infusion will strengthen the company’s capital base while supporting its plans to scale its secured lending business, expand its geographic footprint, invest in technology, and deepen access to formal credit for India’s growing MSME ecosystem.

Significance and Impact
BNF is a technology-led non-banking financial company focused on providing secured credit to MSMEs across underserved and under-penetrated markets in India. The investment marks Beams’s seventh deal and adds BNF to its portfolio of financial services and fintech businesses.
The transaction has received the prior approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) — an important regulatory milestone that underscores the structural rigour of the deal. The capital will strengthen BNF’s base as it scales its technology-led secured lending platform and expands into underserved MSME markets across India.
The transaction is also notable for the breadth of its investor syndicate, bringing together fintech-focused, private equity, and strategic capital under one Series A round. The involvement of three top-tier law firms — each advising a distinct party — reflects the complexity and regulatory sensitivity inherent in an RBI-regulated NBFC equity fundraise.
Founded by Pankaj Poddar, Business Nextgen Finance is a new-age NBFC providing secured credit to MSMEs and focused on building a differentiated lending institution driven by disciplined underwriting and digital infrastructure. The ₹215 crore Series A fundraise, backed by a consortium of institutional investors and cleared by the RBI, positions BNF for its next phase of growth in India’s MSME credit market. Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Khaitan & Co, and Touchstone Partners each played a critical advisory role in bringing this transaction to completion.
