Pradyun Chakravarty Joins King Stubb & Kasiva as Partner and Head of Capital Markets with 16-Member Team

Pradyun Chakravarty has joined King Stubb & Kasiva (KSK) as Partner and Head of Capital Markets, accompanied by a 16-member team that will be based across the firm’s New Delhi and Mumbai offices. The move represents a significant scaling of KSK’s equity capital markets capabilities. Chakravarty comes to KSK from Legacy Law Offices, where he served as a Partner.

His practice centres on equity capital markets transactions and related securities and regulatory matters. At KSK, Chakravarty’s Capital Markets team will work closely with the firm’s Corporate and M&A, Private Equity, Banking & Finance, and Regulatory practices, offering clients an integrated service across the transaction lifecycle.

Education Background and Career Progression

Education

Pradyun Chakravarty is a 2016 graduate of Karnataka State Law University.

Career Journey

Following his graduation, Chakravarty built a focused practice in equity capital markets, advising on transactions and related securities and regulatory matters. He rose to the level of Partner at Legacy Law Offices, where he also assembled and led the 16-member team that has now joined him at KSK. His move to King Stubb & Kasiva marks the next step in that leadership trajectory, with Chakravarty now heading the firm’s Capital Markets practice nationally.

What the Firm Said

Commenting on the development, Jidesh Kumar, Managing Partner and Co-founder of King Stubb & Kasiva, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Pradyun and his team to KSK. We have been steadily investing in building a strong and comprehensive Capital Markets practice, and Pradyun’s addition represents a significant step forward for us, particularly in Equity Capital Markets. KSK already has strong capabilities across the Capital Markets space, and bringing Pradyun and his team onto our platform gives us significantly greater depth, scale and execution capability. Pradyun has built an impressive practice and team, and we are confident that under his leadership, we will be able to further strengthen our position in this important area. This is a strategically important addition for KSK and reflects our continued focus on building specialist practices of scale. We are very pleased to have Pradyun lead our Capital Markets practice and look forward to working together to build a formidable offering for our clients.”

Pradyun Chakravarty added:

“I am delighted to join King Stubb & Kasiva along with my team and to have the opportunity to lead the Firm’s Capital Markets practice. KSK has built a strong national platform with established capabilities across Capital Markets and complementary transactional and regulatory practices, providing an excellent foundation on which to further build and scale the practice. India’s capital markets are entering an exciting phase, and there is a significant opportunity to build a practice that combines specialist expertise with the depth and resources of a full-service national platform. The combination of our team’s Equity Capital Markets experience with KSK’s existing capabilities across Capital Markets, corporate transactions, financing and regulatory matters creates a compelling proposition for clients. I look forward to working with Jidesh and my new colleagues across KSK to build on the Firm’s existing strengths and develop a market-leading Capital Markets practice.”

Strategic Significance

Chakravarty‘s arrival, together with a ready-formed 16-member team, gives King Stubb & Kasiva an immediate and substantial presence in equity capital markets — one of the more active corners of India’s legal market. The integration of his specialist practice with KSK’s existing Corporate and M&A, Private Equity, Banking & Finance, and Regulatory capabilities positions the firm to offer clients a genuinely end-to-end transactional platform.
