S&R Associates advised Data Infrastructure Trust, an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) sponsored by a Brookfield Asset Management affiliate, on its acquisition of 100% of ATC Telecom Infrastructure’s share capital.
This entity is the Indian telecommunications infrastructure business of American Tower Corporation, and the deal was valued at INR 181.49 billion (approximately USD 2.2 billion).
The S&R team, led by partners Rajat Sethi, Sudip Mahapatra, and Raya Hazarika, included associates Henal Shah, Komal Parakh, Shreya Jaipuria, Nikhitha Tadigoppula, and Rohin Goyal, who worked on corporate issues. Partner Aparna Ravi and associates Srikari Kancherla, Harshdeep Singh B., and Sreedharan Vadikkiniyedath handled acquisition financing matters. Partner Pratichi Mishra, along with associates Shiv Kumar Sharma and Advaita Kapoor, focused on InvIT-related issues. The competition practice was led by Simran Dhir, with partner Akshat Kulshrestha and associates Anuja Agarwal and Sehaj Mahajan addressing competition concerns. Lastly, partner Sumit Bansal and associates Shivani Chhabra and Taranjeet Singh managed tax-related matters.
