Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed concern for actor Govinda, who sustained an injury when his gun accidentally discharged, striking his leg.
Shinde wished him a swift recovery and assured support for him and his family.
The 60-year-old actor was at his Mumbai residence, preparing to head to the airport when the mishap occurred. According to police, no formal complaints have been lodged regarding the incident.
After receiving medical treatment, Govinda is now recovering at home. He later informed fans that the bullet had been successfully removed by doctors and expressed gratitude for their support and God’s blessings.
CM Shinde personally reached out to Govinda to convey his concern and offered assistance from the state during this challenging time. He praised Govinda’s notable contributions to Indian cinema and wished him a speedy recovery.
Govinda, who has appeared in over 165 Hindi films, including hits like “Coolie No 1,” “Hero No 1,” and “Partner,” joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena in March ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
