Dhananjay Kumar, who served as partner and head of restructuring and insolvency at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), has joined South Square, a prominent group of commercial law barristers based in London
While becoming a member and independent practitioner at South Square, where he will practice before the Bar of England and Wales, Kumar will also maintain his practice of Indian law from CAM’s Mumbai office.
CAM has been actively expanding its global footprint with offices in Singapore and Abu Dhabi, and Kumar’s new position is anticipated to bolster these efforts towards international growth.
Cyril Shroff, managing partner at CAM, made an announcement on LinkedIn about Kumar’s new position. “This complements the firm’s capabilities in the restructuring & insolvency as well as the disputes practice and the internationalisation of our practice outlook especially as India looks at a cross-border insolvency regime being notified in future,” Shroff said.
