Fans Left Frustrated as BookMyShow Struggles to Handle High Demand for Coldplay’s Return
The highly anticipated ticket sale for Coldplay’s upcoming concerts in India faced a major setback when the BookMyShow website and app crashed just before tickets were set to go live at 12 PM IST. Fans eagerly awaiting the sale were left frustrated as both platforms experienced significant outages, with many users encountering error messages while trying to secure their tickets.
The ticket sale eventually resumed at 12:18 PM, but some users continued to report issues with the app. Prices for the concert tickets range from Rs 2,500 to Rs 12,500, with options including Rs 3,000, Rs 3,500, Rs 4,000, Rs 4,500, Rs 9,000, and Rs 9,500. The premium lounge seats are priced at Rs 35,000, offering an elevated viewing experience along with food and beverage services.
Coldplay is set to perform at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on January 18 and 19, 2025, marking their much-awaited return to India after a nine-year hiatus as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour.
