UP Police Seize Mukhtar Ansari Assets Worth Over Rs 608 Crore, Dismantling Criminal Empire

Mukhtar Ansari Assets – Extensive Legal Action Leads to Collapse of Mafia Don’s Network, Multiple Associates Facing Legal Scrutiny

Following extensive legal action against nearly 300 of his associates, the criminal network of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari has collapsed, with properties valued at more than Rs 608 crore confiscated and demolished by the Uttar Pradesh Police.

Ansari, who once wielded influence across districts in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab, now faces dire circumstances as legal proceedings unravel his criminal syndicate. He recently suffered his eighth conviction in a fake arms license case.

Presently incarcerated in Banda jail, Ansari confronts at least 65 criminal cases, including charges of murder, robbery, and extortion.

Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar emphasized the state government’s comprehensive strategy, which combines legal battles and law enforcement measures to dismantle Ansari’s criminal empire. Nearly 297 members of his gang and affiliates are under legal scrutiny, with 175 licensed arms holders also under investigation. The police have taken a resolute stance against organized crime, with five gang members meeting their end in police encounters.

Under the Gangster Act and the National Security Act (NSA), 164 members of the Mukhtar gang have been booked, leading to the confiscation and demolition of properties valued at over Rs 608 crore. Additionally, illicit contracts, tenders, and businesses worth Rs 215 crore have been shut down, further undermining Ansari’s illicit operations and those of his associates. (Source: IANS)
