Trust Legal, in collaboration with Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) and the United Nations Environment Programme, organized the 21st Annual Colloquium of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law in India for the first time.
From July 4-7, 2024, GNLU, under the leadership of S Shanthakumar, hosted the event, featuring international experts from over 20 countries. The colloquium centered around the theme “Mission LiFE: Ensuring Environmental Sustainability & Climate Justice through Community Action,” emphasizing both individual and collective efforts towards sustainability.
Key speakers included Christina Voigt, Chair of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, Tiina Paloniitty, Chair of the governing board of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law, and Sudhir Mishra, Managing Partner of Trust Legal.
