Father and Four Relatives Sentenced to Life for Murder of 19-Year-Old Daughter in UP
BAREILLY (UP): A Fast Track Court has sentenced five individuals, including a father and relatives, to life imprisonment for the murder of their 19-year-old daughter, who resisted an arranged marriage.
According to police, Munni was forced to marry Devendra on April 22, 2023, despite being in love with another man from her village. Additional District and Government Advocate (ADGC) Harendra Singh Rathore stated that tensions escalated following Munni’s marriage, leading to conflicts with her in-laws that ultimately resulted in her tragic death.
