    Phoenix Legal and Kaizen Law Advise on $10 Million Fundraise by Vayudh

    Phoenix Legal advised Vayudh, the defence and drone technology arm of BotLab Dynamics Private Limited, on successfully raising $10 million in a funding round led by Dharana Capital.

    The round also saw participation from prominent investors including:

    • Deepinder Goyal (Zomato)

    • Ajay Aggarwal (Action TESA)

    • Sumit Jalan

    • LetsVenture

    • Navam Capital

    Legal Advisors

    • Phoenix Legal acted as legal counsel to Vayudh.
      The transaction was led by Rahul Deodhar (Partner) and Shivani Vyas (Associate).

    • Kaizen Law is reported to have advised the investors.

    The freshly raised capital will support Vayudh in:

    Vamsi Duvvuri of Dharana Capital highlighted that India’s focus on defence indigenisation offers a rare opportunity to develop advanced deeptech capabilities within the country.

    Phoenix Legal has strengthened its corporate and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) practice by welcoming Rahul Deodhar as a partner. Deodhar joins the firm from JSA Advocates & Solicitors in Mumbai.

    Having recently transitioned to JSA as a partner in June 2023, Deodhar was part of a four-member team that moved from Desai & Diwanji. With over 13 years of experience, he has provided counsel to large domestic firms, multinational corporations, private equity firms, venture capital funds, startups, and early-stage companies on corporate transactions, M&A, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory matters.

    In a statement, Deodhar expressed his alignment with Phoenix Legal’s mission, saying, the firm’s commitment to delivering commercially viable legal solutions and steadfast client support resonates perfectly with my own professional values.
