Swati Maliwal Case: Judicial Custody of Bibhav Kumar Extended by Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court

On Saturday, Delhi’s Tis Hazari court extended the judicial custody of Bibhav Kumar for an additional 14 days in Swati Maliwal Case

Kumar, appearing via video conferencing (VC), was brought before the court following the expiration of his previous judicial custody period.

Kumar was initially remanded to judicial custody on May 31 after being interrogated in connection with the alleged assault case involving AAP MP Swati Maliwal.

Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal extended Kumar’s judicial custody until July 6. Advocate Karan Sharma, representing Kumar, also participated in the proceedings through video conferencing.

The court has ordered that Kumar be produced via video conferencing for the next hearing. This decision follows an earlier court order that granted Kumar’s request to be produced via video conferencing due to safety and security concerns.

Kumar was arrested by Delhi Police on May 18, following a complaint from Swati Maliwal received on May 16. The alleged assault incident took place on May 13. (ANI)
