Supreme Court Seeks Ajit Pawar’s Response on NCP ‘Clock’ Symbol Dispute

Supreme Court Issues Notice to Ajit Pawar in Dispute Over NCP ‘Clock’ Symbol

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has sought responses from Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and others regarding a plea from the NCP faction led by veteran leader Sharad Pawar concerning the use of the “clock” symbol.

A three-judge bench, led by Justice Surya Kant, issued the notice and requested replies from the deputy chief minister and the involved parties. The court also directed Ajit Pawar to submit a new undertaking to ensure compliance with its previous directions from March 19 and April 24, which mandated a public notice stating that the NCP’s “clock” symbol is currently under judicial consideration, particularly during the upcoming state assembly elections.
