Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Introduces Comprehensive New Policies for Lawyers
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has announced a series of new policies designed to improve the well-being of its lawyers and enhance workplace satisfaction.
Key Policy Updates:
Enhanced Compensation: Entry-level associate salaries have been increased to ₹20 lakh per annum, setting a new benchmark in the industry. All other associate and salaried partner compensations have also been revised based on a comprehensive performance evaluation.
Variable Compensation: The firm will maintain its existing policy allowing for up to 200% in variable compensation, contingent on performance efficiency.
People-Centric Policies: The firm has introduced several new benefits including work-from-anywhere options (up to 2 weeks annually), caregiver leave (up to 3 weeks), expanded paternity leave (increased to 3 weeks), additional childcare leave, health check-ups, and sabbatical policies for both associates and partners.
Well-Being Initiatives: To further support the mental and physical health of its employees, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has introduced annual rejuvenation breaks from December 25 to January 1, formal recognition of mental health days, on-site physiotherapy services, and a new workplace anti-harassment code. Mentorship and coaching support are also now available.
