Rajnath Singh Urges People of PoJK to Join India, Criticizes Pakistan’s Treatment
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during election rallies in Jammu’s Ramban and Banihal regions, extended a call to the people of Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) to join India. He emphasized that India considers them as “our own,” in contrast to Pakistan, which recently declared PoJK as foreign territory in a legal affidavit.
“Pakistan sees you as foreigners, but in India, you are family. Come and join us,” Singh urged PoJK residents. He also predicted that under BJP governance, development in Jammu and Kashmir would flourish to such an extent that those in PoJK would seek to become part of India.
Singh also addressed the abrogation of Article 370, assuring that it will never be restored while the BJP is in power. He highlighted the region’s progress since the move, noting that “youth now carry laptops and computers instead of weapons.” The Defence Minister also criticized National Conference leader Omar Abdullah over his comments on Afzal Guru, questioning whether the convicted Parliament attack mastermind should not have been executed.
Singh’s speech reiterated BJP’s commitment to the development and security of Jammu and Kashmir, projecting a transformative vision for the region.
