PM Narendra Modi on Monday praised the establishment of five new districts in Ladakh, viewing it as a significant move towards enhanced governance and development
The newly created districts—Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang—will now benefit from increased focus, bringing essential services and opportunities closer to the residents.
Expressing his congratulations on social media platform X, Modi said, “The creation of five new districts in Ladakh is a step towards better governance and prosperity.”
Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah announced the formation of these districts in the Union Territory, which was previously part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
