Non-Bailable Warrant Issued for BJP MLA Over Remarks on Karnataka Minister’s Wife
BENGALURU: A Bengaluru court has issued a non-bailable warrant against BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal for his failure to appear in court regarding a case linked to his alleged remarks about Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao’s wife.
The controversy arose from Yatnal’s comments concerning Tabassum Rao, in which he purportedly suggested that “half Pakistan” was part of Dinesh Gundu Rao’s family. Following these remarks, Tabassum Rao filed a petition against Yatnal and also lodged a complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission, accusing the BJP’s social media cell of disseminating derogatory statements about her.
