The Bengaluru special court has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa in connection with a POCSO case, according to a report by news agency PTI. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is expected to arrest him soon.
The CID has already summoned Yediyurappa for questioning. Currently in New Delhi, the former CM is expected to return to Bengaluru. On March 14, the Bengaluru police registered a case under the POCSO Act against Yediyurappa following a complaint from the 17-year-old survivor’s mother.
The CID has reiterated the summons for Yediyurappa to appear for questioning. With the former CM in New Delhi, his return to Bengaluru is anticipated. The initial case was filed by Bengaluru police on March 14 under the POCSO Act, based on the allegations made by the mother of the 17-year-old victim.
