Lucky Ali Accuses Karnataka IAS Officer Rohini Sindhuri and Family of Illegal Land Grabbing, Karnataka Lokayukta Appraoches

Singer Maqsood M Ali, popularly known as Lucky Ali, has lodged a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta against Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer Rohini Sindhuri, her husband, and her brother-in-law.

Ali accuses them of using state machinery and financial resources to unlawfully encroach upon land. He specifically mentions his trust-owned farm being illegally encroached upon by Sudhir Reddy and Madhu Reddy, alleged members of the Bangalore land mafia, with the assistance of Rohini Sindhuri.

Ali had previously voiced his concerns in December 2022, highlighting the issue and alleging that the individuals in question had entered his property without providing the necessary documentation. Rohini Sindhuri, who has been involved in other legal disputes, including a high-profile public feud with IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil, faces accusations of misusing her position and authority in the ongoing controversy.

On February 18 of the previous year, Sindhuri discovered several allegations made against her by Moudgil in Facebook posts, leading to a heated public exchange and subsequent transfers by the State government. Sindhuri later initiated legal action, demanding an apology and ₹1 crore in damages for defamation, which resulted in a criminal case against Moudgil. Despite Moudgil’s appeal to the Karnataka High Court, the case now awaits judgment at the Supreme Court.

Ali’s recent move to involve the Karnataka Lokayukta underscores his determination to address what he perceives as misuse of power and resources by public officials for personal gain.
