Day 8 of the Paris Olympics 2024 was marked by close calls and near misses, with Manu Bhaker, Deepika Kumari, and Nishant Dev narrowly falling short of podium finishes. As we move into Day 9 on August 4, Sunday, Indian fans are set for a thrilling lineup of events.
The Indian men’s hockey team will take on Great Britain in a crucial quarter-final match, while badminton sensation Lakshya Sen is just one step away from securing a medal as he competes in the men’s singles semi-finals. Lovlina Borgohain will also be in action, aiming to advance closer to her second Olympic medal.
The day’s events promise excitement with potential to boost India’s medal tally, which currently stands at three.
