JSA provided legal counsel to Vizag Hospital and Cancer Research Centre Private Limited (“Vizag Hospital”) and its shareholders in a significant transaction involving the sale of shares to HealthCare Global Enterprises Limited (“HCG”) for an Enterprise Value of INR 4,140 million
The transaction is structured to occur in multiple phases. In the first phase, HCG will acquire 51% of Vizag Hospital’s equity share capital, with plans to complete the acquisition of an additional 34% within the next 18 months as the second phase. The remaining 15% may be acquired through a time-bound call or put option.
Located in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Vizag Hospital operates a comprehensive cancer care facility led by Dr. Murali Krishna Voonna, a prominent onco-surgeon. The hospital features 196 operational beds and advanced medical equipment such as 2 LINAC machines, 1 PET CT scanner, 1 Robotics Surgery System, and a dedicated Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit. Its medical team includes 31 doctors specializing in Surgical, Radiation, and Medical oncology.
