Indian-American businessman-turned-politician Vivek Ramaswamy had accurately predicted eight months ago that President Joe Biden would not be the Democratic Party’s nominee for the upcoming presidential election
On Sunday, Biden announced his decision to forgo re-election, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.
“Best way to predict the future: just follow the incentives. It’s shocking how precisely right you can be, right down to the exact timing,” Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old Republican, shared in a social media post, alongside a video of his interview with Fox News from last November, shortly after Biden’s announcement.
“All his predictions have come true,” commented Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk. Ramaswamy responded, “Wish it weren’t so.”

In the Fox News interview, Ramaswamy stated, “The reality is the managerial class around Biden has lost their use for him. This has been obvious to me since last year. He is not the strongest candidate they can put up. These people will stop at nothing to keep Donald J. Trump out of office.”
Ramaswamy, who was then a Republican presidential candidate in the primaries along with former president Donald Trump, speculated that Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama would be likely choices for the Democratic nomination.
Social media influencer Tristane Tate applauded Ramaswamy for his accurate prediction, saying, “For almost a year, one man has been saying ‘Biden won’t be the Democratic nominee’ and predicting a last-minute blindside. People called him crazy.”
Ramaswamy had also made a similar prediction during one of the Republican presidential debates. Journalist Raheem Kassam noted on X, “I remember corporate media reporters sneering and laughing when Vivek Ramaswamy made this point in the debate. They’re not laughing now!”
