IndusLaw Sees High-Profile Departure as Real Estate Team Moves to S&R
Indian law firm IndusLaw is experiencing another significant team departure, with real estate partner Avikshit Moral and his team of six attorneys joining S&R Associates in Mumbai. This latest move follows a series of high-profile exits from IndusLaw.
Recent departures from IndusLaw include:
- A sixty-lawyer capital markets team moving to Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
- A four-lawyer disputes team led by Padmaja Kaul transitioning to JSA Advocates & Solicitors.
- Two employment partners relocating to Khaitan & Co.
- A ten-lawyer M&A team joining Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.
Additionally, AZB & Partners and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. have recruited tax and corporate partners from IndusLaw this year.
Avikshit Moral brings over 15 years of expertise in areas such as conveyancing, real estate financing, title diligence, joint ventures, succession planning, investor protection laws, and structured transactions. He has managed numerous high-value acquisitions of prime real estate for both domestic and offshore clients across various Indian cities and has acted as a transaction lawyer for several investors in construction-related activities.
Moral’s move to S&R Associates marks the firm’s second significant hire in recent months, following the recent addition of Economic Laws Practice partner Aakanksha Joshi.
