Pune Porsche Crash Case: Vedant Agarwal’s Blood Sample Replaced with Mother’s to Alter Alcohol Test Results
In a significant development in the Pune Porsche crash case, police have detained three individuals from a state-run hospital for allegedly switching the blood sample of the teenage driver with that of his mother. The arrested parties include Dr. Ajay Taware, head of the forensic medicine department, chief medical officer Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and staff member Atul Ghatkamble of Sassoon Hospital.
The Swap: Mother’s Blood Sample Used
Sources disclosed that the mother of the 17-year-old driver provided her blood sample to Sassoon Hospital. This sample was handed over to Dr. Shrihari Halnor, who is accused of manipulating the test results to falsely indicate that the teenager was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Video Plea and Cover-Up Allegations
Earlier, the teenager’s mother released a video message, emotionally appealing for police protection for her son and dismissing rumors about a viral video allegedly featuring him. The investigation has since revealed a concerted effort by the boy’s family to evade arrest by collaborating with hospital officials to alter the alcohol test report.
The Fatal Accident
The tragic crash occurred in the early hours of May 19 in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area. Two IT professionals in their 20s were killed when their motorcycle was struck by a speeding Porsche, allegedly driven by the intoxicated teenager, who is the son of builder Vishal Agarwal. The case has garnered national attention, highlighting the alleged cover-up efforts to protect the young driver.
