Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) and JSA have advised on Fraport AG’s planned sale of its 10% stake in Delhi International Airport (DIA) to GMR Airports Infrastructure for INR 10.58 billion (approximately USD 126 million).
The JSA team, led by partners Shivpriya Nanda and Zain Pandit, along with senior associate Twisha Shrivastava, handled the transaction for Fraport. SAM represented GMR Airports in the acquisition, with partner Jatin Aneja at the helm, supported by partner Prashant Sirohi, senior associate Aditya Mitra, and associate Madhvi Vangani.
Both Fraport and GMR Airports are part of a consortium managing Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi under a joint venture. Following the transaction, GMR Airports’ ownership in DIA will rise to 74%, while Fraport will remain the operator of the airport.
