Exit Polls Predict 2024: Landslide Victory for BJP-Led NDA in Final Phase of Lok Sabha Elections

Exit Polls Predict Massive Win for BJP-Led NDA in Lok Sabha Elections

As the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections concluded on Saturday, exit polls forecasted a significant victory for the BJP-led NDA. The alliance currently holds 342 seats in Parliament, while the Congress, part of the INDI alliance, has 52 seats. This time, the BJP-led NDA aims for an ambitious target of 400 seats out of the 543 in the Lok Sabha, with the halfway mark being 272.

Here’s a detailed look at the pollsters’ predictions:

Nearly all pollsters suggest that the BJP-led NDA will return with an even larger presence.

Today’s Chanakya: Known for its accuracy in the past two Lok Sabha elections, it predicts the NDA will achieve 400 seats, with the BJP alone getting 335 seats. The INDI alliance is expected to win 107 seats, with Congress securing 50 of them. Other parties are likely to get 36 seats.

Dainik Bhaskar Poll: It forecasts the NDA to get between 281 and 350 seats. The INDI alliance is predicted to win between 145 and 201 seats, and others between 33 and 49 seats.

Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll: This predicts a substantial gain for the NDA, estimating 362 to 392 seats for the alliance. The INDI alliance is expected to get 141 to 161 seats, with others securing 10 to 20 seats.

India News-D Dynamics Poll: The NDA is projected to expand its tally to 371 seats, while the INDI alliance is expected to get 125 seats and other parties 47 seats.

India TV-CNX Poll: The NDA is projected to get between 371 and 401 seats, the INDI alliance between 109 and 139 seats, and other parties between 28 and 38 seats.

BJP Chief’s Reaction:

BJP chief JP Nadda expressed confidence, stating that the people voted for a capable, powerful, developed, and self-reliant India, rejecting appeasement, nepotism, and corruption. Nadda is confident that his party will win more than 370 Lok Sabha seats, and the NDA more than 400. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his extensive efforts during the campaign, including over 206 rallies and 23 roadshows.

INDI Alliance’s Response:

Leaders of several INDI alliance parties met on Saturday to review their preparations for the June 4 vote counting. They claimed they would secure more than 295 seats, enough to form the next government. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that their figure is based on feedback from the public. He accused the BJP of inflating figures through government exit polls and emphasized that the INDI alliance’s projection reflects the reality.

Participation in Exit Poll Debates:

Initially, the Congress decided not to participate in any Lok Sabha exit poll debates on television, citing a preference to avoid speculation and TRP-driven discussions. However, after deliberation, the INDI alliance decided by consensus to join the exit poll debates on television, as announced by Congress’ media and publicity department head Pawan Khera on X (formerly Twitter).
