Election Rivalry Turns Deadly: Five Sentenced to Life for 2015 Murder

Five Sentenced to Life for 2015 Election-Related Murder in UP

BALLIA (UP): A court has sentenced five individuals, including three brothers, to life imprisonment for the murder of two men linked to election rivalry.

On Saturday, Additional District Judge Ram Kripal found Ramesh Yadav, Janardan Yadav, Suresh Yadav, Anil Yadav, and Ram Vilas guilty, imposing a fine of Rs 18,500 on each convict, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Vikrant Vir.

The prosecution detailed that Ramnath Yadav and Kanta Yadav were shot dead on October 17, 2015, in Ramgarh village due to their support for a candidate in the panchayat elections.
