Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud inaugurated a multi-facilitation centre on the Supreme Court campus in New Delhi on Thursday, emphasizing its role in the mission to enhance access to justice

Located opposite UCO Bank, near C-IN Gate on the main campus, the centre aims to serve as a central point for litigants and lawyers. “This multi-facilitation centre has been set up as part of the access to justice mission. The idea is to provide a single point where litigants and lawyers can file cases and obtain information,” Chief Justice of India Chandrachud stated.

He expressed hope that the facility would improve the quality of services provided by the Supreme Court to citizens. “I hope this facility will enhance the quality of service rendered by the Supreme Court to all the citizens of the country,” he added.

The inauguration ceremony saw participation from the Secretary General, Registrars, and officers of the Supreme Court Registry.

Rajya Sabha MP and President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Kapil Sibal, praised the initiative, highlighting the CJI’s dedication to both the legal fraternity and litigants. “Our present chief justice is constantly in a hurry to achieve more for both the legal fraternity and litigants. This facilitation centre is just one example of his enormous work and commitment,” Sibal remarked.
