Champai Soren’s Delhi Visit Sparks Speculation About Potential BJP Shift
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, known for his close ties with JMM leader Hemant Soren, has fueled rumors of a political shift after an early morning flight to Delhi. Soren, who spent the night in Kolkata meeting BJP leader Suvendhu Adhikari, is reportedly considering his political options, possibly aiming for a meeting with BJP’s top leadership.
Accompanied by six MLAs and his personal staff, Soren’s trip to Delhi has intensified speculation about his potential move to the BJP. It is also rumored that he has been in touch with senior BJP leader and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Despite the swirling rumors, Soren has publicly dismissed these speculations. “I don’t know what rumors are being spread or the news being reported, so I cannot comment on its veracity,” he stated. Soren, who served as Jharkhand’s chief minister temporarily after Hemant Soren’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, resigned following Hemant Soren’s bail. Reports suggest that some of the MLAs accompanying him are currently unreachable, adding to the mystery surrounding his visit.
