AZB & Partners acted as legal counsel for Fairfax in its acquisition of a 65% ownership stake in Global Aluminium Private Limited, India’s third-largest aluminum extrusions producer.
Global Aluminium boasts in-house capabilities to manufacture anodized and powder-coated aluminum products, catering to industries such as architecture, renewable energy, and electrical sectors.
The transaction was managed by Senior Partner Darshika Kothari, Partner Kritika Agarwal, Senior Associate Shailesh Singh, and Associates Anushka Mehta and Riddhi Bang.
Additional support was provided by Associates Siddharth Tandon and Rhea Chauhan for the closing, with Partners Nikunj Maheshwari, Nishanth Ravindran, Nandan Pendsey, Malini Raju, and Ruchit Parikh, Senior Associates Sayantani Saha and Rhea Ghanshani, and Associates Prannathi Ajith Kumar, Nikita Bhosale, Isha Sheth, Ayushi Singh, and Labdhi Golechha overseeing due diligence.
Tax aspects were handled by Partner Aditya Singh Chandel and Associate Gunjan Pande, while Partners Bharat V Budholia and Kirthi Srinivas advised on antitrust matters.
