AAP Councillor Ram Chander’s Son Accuses BJP of Abduction Amid Allegations of Threats

“Son Alleges BJP Involvement in Councillor’s Disappearance After Threats”

Ram Chander, a Shahbad Dairy councillor, and former BJP member who recently rejoined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was reportedly abducted, according to his son Akash. Akash alleged that Narayan Singh, a former BJP councillor from Bawana, along with five others, threatened his father with ED and CBI raids before taking him away in their car. The incident occurred after Narayan Singh requested a meeting with Chander.

AAP leaders, including Sanjay Singh, shared a video on social media featuring Akash’s emotional plea, stating that he was searching for his father. Chander had briefly joined the BJP before returning to AAP, admitting his regret and pledging loyalty to AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh. Chander’s switch to the BJP was reportedly fueled by disappointment over not receiving a ticket for the 2020 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections.

AAP leaders condemned the abduction, with Sanjay Singh and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia accusing the BJP of using coercion and threatening to defame Chander using central agencies like ED and CBI.

However, Delhi BJP firmly denied the allegations, dismissing them as “fake sensationalism.” BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor responded, claiming that they had no involvement in Chander’s disappearance and stated that he was likely at his home.
