Supreme Court to Review Delhi High Court’s Decision on Lawyers’ Association Recognition

Supreme Court Reviews Delhi High Court Ruling on Lawyers’ Association Recognition

The Supreme Court has intervened in a matter concerning the recognition of lawyers’ associations for the Rouse Avenue District Court. On April 8, the Delhi High Court had ruled in favor of the Central Delhi Court Bar Association, designating it as the official bar body for the Rouse Avenue District Court Complex. This decision was contested by several other associations, including the Rouse Avenue Bar Association, the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court Bar Association, and the Rouse Avenue District Court Bar Association, all of which had also claimed recognition.

The aggrieved parties have now appealed to the Supreme Court, challenging the High Court’s decision. The apex court has issued a notice in the case, signaling its intent to review the lower court’s ruling.
