In a tragic turn of events on Saturday, a tempo traveller carrying 23 passengers met with a fatal accident on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway near Raitoli in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district. The vehicle veered off the road and fell into the Alaknanda River, resulting in the loss of at least 12 lives.
The incident occurred amidst picturesque yet treacherous terrain, prompting an immediate response from the State Disaster Response Force and local police. Rescue operations were launched swiftly, with teams working tirelessly to recover survivors and manage the aftermath of the tragedy.
