Business Partner Arrested Amid Allegations of Threats and Fraud
Jaspreet Singh Rajpal, Vedant Agarwal’s family’s business partner, has been arrested on charges of threatening the complainant and faces allegations of fraudulent involvement in a land deal. He is remanded to police custody as investigations proceed.
Allegations of Fraud and Threats Surface
The complainant, Mushtaq Shabbir Momin, accuses Vishal Agarwal and Surendra Kumar Agarwal of defrauding him of Rs. 1.32 crore during a land negotiation in Kondhwa. Additionally, threats of violence are alleged against the Agarwals in connection with the disputed land transaction.
Legal Proceedings Unfold
While Rajpal is currently in custody, Vishal Agarwal remains detained until Monday, and Surendra Kumar Agarwal is held at Yerawada Central Prison. The court deliberates on the custody duration for the accused, with the public prosecutor advocating for an extended period.
Defense Claims Dispute Settlement
Rajpal’s legal team asserts that the dispute was previously resolved through mutual compromise in 2019, casting doubt on the validity of the current allegations. They argue against the necessity of Rajpal’s custody, emphasizing the absence of his involvement in the purported crime.
