Pune Car Accident Traged: Teen’s Grandfather and Mother Allegedly Coerce Driver to Take Blame

Family Allegedly Pressured Driver to Take Blame for Pune Car Accident, Grandfather and Mother Implicated

Days after two tech professionals were tragically killed by a 17-year-old in Pune, startling details have emerged from the police investigation. Yesterday, authorities arrested the teenager’s grandfather, alleging that he threatened the family driver into claiming responsibility for the accident. The police have recorded the driver’s statement, revealing the extent of the coercion.

According to the driver, he received a call from the teen’s father around 2:45 am on the night of the incident, instructing him to take the blame for driving the car. The father’s wife also made an emotional plea, asking him to assume responsibility. All family members pressured him to falsely declare to the police that he was driving when the accident occurred.

Despite the driver initially claiming he was behind the wheel, the police did not believe his statement and charged the teenager. Following this, the driver recounted that the family members followed him, forced him into their car, and took him to their residence. When his wife came searching for him the next day, they asked her to convince him to maintain the falsehood. The driver eventually left with his wife and went into hiding for two days before resurfacing.

The Crime Branch is currently overseeing the case. After reviewing CCTV footage, the police confirmed that the minor was indeed driving the car at the time of the accident.
