MNLU Aurangabad Implements Menstrual Leave Policy to Foster Inclusivity
Maharashtra National Law University Aurangabad (MNLU Aurangabad) has recently embraced a notable stride in fostering inclusivity by introducing a novel menstrual leave policy. The Executive Council of the university has given preliminary approval to this proposal initiated by The Executive Council of the Student Bar Council.
The menstrual leave policy, which stems from a student-driven effort, is geared towards advancing gender equality within the university. According to this policy, students are entitled to take one menstrual leave per month, akin to medical leave. Importantly, no medical certificate is necessitated for this leave. Nonetheless, students are required to fulfill the minimum attendance criterion of 67% as stipulated by the regulations.
To avail themselves of the menstrual leave, students must complete the Menstrual Leave Application form provided under the policy. This development signifies a significant stride towards inclusivity and meeting the specific needs of students within the university community.
